Bmore

...so far behind on the blogging.

but yes: two weeks ago (!) i was in baltimore seeing kit and lexie macchi and pals.
kit and i took an awesome bike ride down to the waterfront (made all the more awesome by kit's flat tire on the way home and the resulting walking tour of baltimore), destroyed all comers on a pool table at ottobar (even six or so cocktails in), and hung out with her roommates and sister lexie.

before the flat tire...

kit's roommate keelin got in a bike wreck in NYC that left her with a band-aided upper lip. before going out, we decided to give her a moustache...

uh. we found some really big googly eyes.

NYC, briefly

Only a day and a half, and I missed seeing some friends I was hoping to see, but I had an awesome time seeing Hallie, Annaliese and Tom, and Anna and Jeremy. Also got a sweet massage from Laurel's old masseur, which was just what my aching back needed.

Hallie was totally happy to see me:

No photos of Annaliese and Tom, 'cause we spent most of our time outside in the dark... but Tom made an amazing dinner for everyone on the roof of their apartment. And we all drank much wine. And it was rad.

Ithaca

Without the breakfast Jim made for me in Pittsburgh, there's no way I'd've made it to Ithaca that day. It rained constantly for the entire six or so hours it took to make the trip (and for most of my visit with Andy and Cecily, too - my gloves and jacket were still damp when I left...). I got to help Andy make a great dinner for a group of friends that first night, and we spent the next day walking around the Cornell campus and going to Andy's rugby club game.

Pittsburgh

Thanks to Dr. Maggie for hooking me up with an old friend, Mr. Jim Soto. Jim's in Pittsburgh now, living with his Romanian firecracker of a girlfriend Oana, teaching philosophy and restoring his home (in Pittsburgh's bohemian south side, built in 1894). We only had an evening and a morning together, but it was amazing to catch up (and drink up).

Bloomington

The Culvers adopted me for a few days in Bloomington, IN. And it was awesome.

LaCrosse

Made a quick stopover in LaCrosse, WI to see my old friend Matt and his girlfriend Heidi.

Unfortunately, Matt had to work and the weather sucked, so we couldn't get out for a ride. Nice stable of bikes, tho.

Minnesota Photo Dump #1

I've realized that hanging out with friends and family is much more fun than writing about hanging out with friends and family... so I think Unroadkill will be more of a photo journal than a journal-journal going forward. Hope you still enjoy!
